this is probably the first of a few for the evening. i wrote out an entry yesterday on the way home from nyc. so i present to you entry one:

ah..my wonderful city of ny…

woke up at 4:47am this morning and lay in bed for a few minutes just to contemplate why i was up at the buttcrack of dawn. my mom came in, presumably to wake me up, said something incoherent, and left. i stood, walked into the bathroom and took a shower. finally deciding on an ensemble that made me appear business WAY casual i walked into the hallway to answer the phone. shannon was ready. i walked downstairs to see mander in my kitchen and we (me, mom, mander) grabbed everything to take off.

some confusion later we were en route to po-town, me in my car, my mom in the van. we arrived, parked, bought tickets, blah blah blah and we were on the train. the majority of this ride was spent reading up on Steinhardt, the music business major, and various other schools around here. it was actually quite amusing, perhaps not as amusing as our discussion on pet gerbils, but amusing nonetheless. arriving at grand central we went to the bathroom allowing me ample time to fix the stockings that have recently just fallen to mid-thigh, tres uncomfortable. grr..

coming out of gcs we walked up a bit then caught a cab to Mercer St. passing by New School we searched for possible signs of beb. no luck. we arrived on Mercer, paid the fine man for driving us and departed to look for 181. the Coles Sports Center. we got there, passing the amnesiac character etched onto the ground. no one in my group allowed me to photograph it, so i never did.

wow…we actually met up with the beautiful dana inside and had a blast talking to her. i showed her my detour scrapbook and she gushed over dear sam and it was adorable. i love her so much. she sat with us and walked around with us the whole time and it was just fun. though we couldn’t bop around the village, there will be other opportunities i’m sure.

of course the open house convinced me i wanted to do the music biz major at nyu more than ever which is a bad thing. the city is golden. on the way to loewe theater i saw who looked to be Doc walking past, so i said something. sure enough, it was her. shannon and i gave her hugs and she changed course just to talk to us. it was bizarre seeing as i had been talking about contacting her when we were on the train. she is so happy there and of course i want to go there even more because of what she’s told us and how she’s acted. she’s the sweetest person. more hugs and she left telling us to email her and ask lots and lots of questions.

we went to a fairly boring q+a session in which mander and dana laughed and carried on, but whatever…the speaker’s really bad hairpiece was bothering me anyway.

i am rushing what we did to tell you all that donnie darko is one of the best fucking movies i have ever had the privilege of viewing, experiencing. yes, coming out of nyu we cabbed it to west 42nd where we separated – me and mander, shannon and my mom. mander and i quickly spend to the AMC 25 theatre to buy our tickets. a rather large board with an article from the village voice detailing the wonders of donnie sat beside the entrance to the line. i bought my ticket with no wait and didn’t even get asked for id, hot.

theater 23 was on the top floor oft he building and taking the many escalators to get there reminded me of bart’s almost trip to heaven, he of course falls down to hell, but the escalators were that long. my ears popped it from the altitude.

purchasing extremely overpriced snacks we found our theater and sat, then switched seats, and were finally settled watching the really bad movie trivia questions flash and disappear from the screen. about 10 previews later the movie began. i loved it from the opening shot.

you need to see it to know its wonders, but man it was great. the story was so unusual and appealing and the cast was right. i half expected patrick swayze to start ripping off his shirt to re-enact his infamous Chippendale’s audition for SNL….this did not happen though.

yes, you are all anxious to hear the al report no doubt, well, probably not, but here it is anyway…i laughed the entire film because of him. the mullet wasn’t quite as fully grown as expected, but it was there along with some stubbly facial hair, but it was all alex and, though not incredibly impressing persay, he did indeed play the bully he said he would. oh, le sigh…i could go on and on about this movie, it was more awesome than my high expectations had hoped it to be, and i want to watch it again right now.

the weather was beautiful as we exited and my head was filled with the movie’s wonderful story. we missed the 5:04 train and ate at pronto pizza, indirectly across from gcs and all the random cops that littered the streets due to the president being in town. the food was good and we are currently aboard the 6:04 train to po-town. the train’s vibrations are lulling me to sleep, either that or they’re slowly swirling my brain around so i lose conciousness. and the door keeps opening and closing cos people can’t sit still, not that i can either, and this action is letting loud noise into the space. i wish i could bring nyc and LA together…both are so wonderful. but we’ll see which school i’m meant for, which one knows i fit.

college, i’m waiting. must write damn good essay, must change into pants, must stop vibrating with the train’s shaking. cheers.

mood: pretty good actually

as i grow more and more jealous listening to kimmm recount her night with “the boys” i write this entry.

today was good…for once, it was good. everything was good. i actually had fun playing the stupid floor hockey crap in gym class, i actually decided to conform and go along with the whole pajama day thing, changing from my normal clothes into the pajamas i had brought “just in case.” and i pranced around all day in my fishy pj pants and my moccasin slippers. it was mad phat, let me tell you.

math, all i did was talk to mander and sophie about absolutely nothing and it was fun. and i was in a grand mood because mander had just informed me that people really do think i’m musically talented, and you have no idea how wonderful that makes me feel, like i’ve actually accomplished something and gotten people to notice.

music theory was dumb as always, spirig gives me the worst head aches one can possibly inflict on another person, it’s harsh. but i did want to say that yesterday rocked cos spirig, devan, and anthony played “come together” and it was awesome. anthony on the little electronic drum kit, devan on his guitar, and spirig singing the words weird and sucking at playing the piano. it was great, classic, and i’m glad i was there to witness it. spirig, one man i won’t miss.

there was the eating of lunch for a period, then on to choir where apple and i danced to “frosty the snowman” while singing. and the usual making of faces between sophie and me took place. it was actually more amusing than normal. though i must admit that all of our chatter between songs is damn annoying and i’m almost starting to side with mr. man’s temper tantrums..almost…

after choir i grabbed my bag and met up with the usual group of me, sophie, therese, and shannon to walk to 8th period. devan was beside me and patted my head as he tends to do. i put out my arm to hug him and we walked down the hall like that for a bit. he then commented on my shortness, i retorted with a comment about his tallness, and we said stuff about that for a while, he bringing up once more the fact that i can fit under his armpit…it will never end. as he said he has about a foot and a couple inches on me. grr… tall people…

went to work, that was okay…and as you can probably tell i’m not interested in writing this anymore. so, that’s it, i’m hopefully going to see donnie darko tomorrow and kimmm showed me some funny/cool pictures and that’s that. good night all. love you.

There are several resemblance with the one seen in famous Bigfoot video shot at Pennsylvania and the whole mystery will come to end so soon. I am a Bigfoot fan and i was a little bit devastated when i heard about the death. And the sad part is that what ever human have invented or found was always misused. So this discovery of Bigfoot would lead to many hunters invade into forest and spoil the living environment of the creature. However the creature managed to hide from human site for several years from the past now this discovery gonna change it. No more Bigfoot mystery is a mystery. And if we are gonna see several bigfoots in future, we must remember that Bigfoot can think like human and appears partly like human, so its like our ancestor and hence world is a place for them too, So do not trouble the animal , let the animal to have its privacy. The Bigfoot never bothers to peep into your bedroom so why do you want to ?

It’s what I like to call…sleeping until I wake up. I know what you’re thinking…don’t we always do that?

What I mean is, sleeping until I wake up without the aid of an alarm clock or the neighbor’s dog or a bad dream or having to go to the bathroom.

Unfortunately, there’s really only one day a week when it’s possible and there’s usually something else that I want to do on that day. (Saturday) (And moms…I know you’re hating me right now, because it’s not ever really possible for you. Sorry! We singles and childless have to find the benefits of our lives where we can. I haven’t been able to indulge for weeks, and this week, I decided to do it.

Of course yesterday, A Passion Redeemed showed up in my mailbox and I started to read it before going to sleep. But even with that, I don’t think I was up that late.

I slept until 2:40 p.m.!!!! I’m so embarrassed! I can’t remember the last time I slept that late! It’s got to be at least 12 hours of sleep!! I missed all that precious reading time and Olympic watching time, etc. So I definitely had a lazy Saturday, but wow! I think it’s the heat. It must be the heat.

I was getting ready to go to college. I cannot believe that. How has it been ten years? So I was probably saying good-bye to people, packing up my life with panic, and just all around being dead nervous.

Q1. If you were to be in ministry 10 years from now (whether you’re in ministry now or not) what would you like to be doing and where?

My dream would to be in France or Japan working with groups of believers in a “cell” church type of ministry. I would happily teach English or something full time.

Q2. If you could wake up tomorrow with a degree and all the learning that would have gone with it from any seminary which one would you pick and why?

This is something I have not considered for a long time, so I don’t know.

Q3. What’s your poison: donuts, beer, wine, pizza, chocolate, Twinkies, key-lime pie?

I think this question is funny after the first two. Probably pizza. I do enjoy wine, but it’s not, er, a weakness. I hate beer. Donuts are good, but I’m not sure I’ve ever had key-lime pie. My true weakness is Diet Mountain Dew.

Seriously, I am excited about this trip, but not because of jousting or a museum for a dead writer guy.  I’m headed to a church that is throwing a party for Compassion International.  Essentially, that’s what it is.  It’s an outdoor festival-style event, tickets are sold, bands play, and the money goes to support a Child Survival Project.

Good idea.
